At first I really was not very excited about the way this project looked when I was finished. I was hoping for a more dramatic look from the bronze mesh. As it turns out it is pretty cool because as the light changes the planter changes appearance. The more direct sun that shines on it the more you see the mesh the more shade there is the less you see of it. It is sort of like one of those fancy paint jobs you see on a car that are always changing color.
When built, this tall cedar planter will accommodate an 18 inch wide pot and stand about 24 inches tall. Perfect for either side of your front door or walkway. If you choose not to use cedar, make sure you do choose an exterior grade lumber for this project.
