The design of my chest uses the lines of the old chest. Mine is only 12 X 7 X 8 1/2 inches. I used a vacuum form mold to make the curved top and dove tails for the joinery. I hope you take the time to make this nice little chest.
What little boy would not love to find one of these in their back yard!?! I looked in vain, all over the internet, for a simple plan for a Pirates Treasure Chest. So I decided to just make my own. I settled on box joints for the corners because they are very simple to make and really strong. Since this will be a Christmas present for my grandson, I better get to work!
