This is a significant project that will take some time and effort to complete. It is mostly wood, made of custom logs, plywood and hardwoods to produce three interior levels, numerous furnishings and a fun wooden bear family. Feel free to make changes during the construction process to make it uniquely yours. Pine is recommended for most of the cabin. The base and roof segments can be cut from plywood or from a higher quality ply material like Baltic Birch. The project has a dual purpose, it can be a fun play toy or it can also be used as a display piece at a resort, cottage or business. The fireplace and chimney can be made from plywood or real rock. Masonry information is included in the plan. Consider using segments from small tree branches to provide an authentic look. A courtyard with trees, bench, moose etc is also included but can be left off of the project.
