Roof and house sides of the wren house are made of either inch or 5/16 inches apple crate lumber. The four roof boards are cut with compound angle cuts with the miter gage set at 50 degrees and the saw blade tilted at 24 degrees. All cuts are made with one miter gage setting by flopping the piece as shown in Photo No. 2.
The front gable is open, entrance to the room below being through the rear of the upper floor. This house can be opened for cleaning by lifting out the upper floor.
