Free plans to build a modern wooden house shelf by ANA-WHITE.com

This modern wooden house shelf is beautiful and functional!  You'll just need two 1x8 boards and some screws to build yourself and save.  The free plans are shared below.

Featuring two large rooms, two small rooms, and a side porch perfect for books, this modern wooden house shelf is stores it all in the most charming way.  It's inspired by Crate and Kid's Shelf - but you can build it for way less!

Preparation

Shopping List

2 - 1x8 @ 8 feet long

30 - 2" self tapping wood screws (try spax or similar) 

Wood glue

Cut List

1 - 1x8 @ 26-1/4"

1 - 1x8 @ 7"

1 - 1x8 @ 11-3/8" one end cut at 15 degrees off square, longest point measurement

2 - 1x8 @ 14" one end cut at 15 degrees off square, longest point measurement

1 - 1x8 @ 34-1/4"

1 - 1x8 @ 21-3/4" - both ends cut at 15 degrees off square, long point to short point measurement

1 - 1x8 @ 8-1/2" - both ends cut at 15 degrees off square, long point to short point measurement

1 - 1x4 @ 7-1/4" 

1 - 1x4 @ 5-3/4"

Instructions

Step 1

Cut all the pieces out with a compound miter saw from the 1x8s.

Cut the doorway out of the wall piece using the jigsaw.  Sand any rough edges.

Attach to the floor using the 2" screws.

Step 2

Cut a matching doorway out of the second wall piece.  Sand any rough edges.

Attach to the floor from underneath using glue and the screws.

Step 3

Cut windows out of wall pieces by first drilling a hole in the middle of the window with a drill bit larger than your jigsaw blade.  Insert jigsaw into the hole and cut the window out.  Sand any rough edges.

Attach walls to the floor with wood screws and glue.

Step 4

Attach floor to all the walls with the screws and wood glue.

Step 6

Attach 1x4 railing to the end of the dollhouse with wood screws and glue.
