First step is making all your cuts!  We used a miter saw for this part.  Here is a shot of the cut list for these wine racks.

After making cuts, it’s time for pocket holes!  We used our K5 Kreg Jig to make the pocket holes on each of our 11″ boards.  Make sure you space these pocket holes as the plans show so they line up with the back board.  You will make 5 of these…

step-1

We attached each of those 11″ boards to our 38″ board with wood glue and 2.5″ pocket hole screws.  We started from the bottom and spaced them every 6″.

step-2

Final step of assembly… Protect the bottles!  To keep them from falling off we added an 11″ craft board to the front of each 2×4.

We attached the front craft boards with wood glue and 1.25″ brad nails.  These boards can be found at the hardware store or craft store, and they are super cheap.

step-3

We stained our with Varathane’s new stain called.  We found cute brass labels four our wine rack.  You can find some HERE on Amazon!

Here she is all finished up!

  1. I’d like to know how to hang this, too. I built the other version of the hanging wine rack with the three 2×4 planks. I considered drilling holes in the top to hang it with strong rope, but I worry a little about the knots holding.
