Step One

Edge banding will be applied to the exposed edges of the plywood prior to assembly.

Cut the pieces for the sides and bottom. With the pocket hole jig set for 3/4″ material, drill pocket holes in each side edge of the bottom. The back side of the bottom is located 1-1/2″ from the bottom edge of the sides. Secure to the sides using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Step Two

Cut the pieces for the bottom supports and drill pocket holes in each end. Secure to the sides under the bottom using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws. Secure the center part of the support with a few 1-1/4″ brad nails through the bottom into the support.

Step Four

Cut the pieces for the shelves. Drill pocket holes in each side edge as well as the back edge. The shelves will be flush with the back which will make them 1″ back from the front edge of the sides. Secure the shelves to the sides and back using glue and 1-1/4″ pocket hole screws.

Step Six

Cut the piece for the door. Because the door is tall, two sets of hinges may have to be used. There will be a 1/8″ gap around all sides of the door. Install the hinges on the door, then install the door in the cabinet.
