Build this
English Style LAMP

Here is the original article straight from
Book No. 4510, PRACTICAL DELTA PROJECTS
NEW & NOVEL THINGS TO MAKE, BOOK 10
DELTA MFG. DIVISION

The above illustration shows the method of
turning the sections B, C and D on Lathe.
TURNED in walnut, this unusual lamp would be excellent made in a pair....
Top section (A) and the base (E) are turned on the face plate, while section (B), (C) and (D) are doweled together and turned as one piece. After which the dowel is removed and the parts assembled as a unit on a 1/8 inch pipe.
Finish and polish on the lathe; use boiled oil followed with walnut filler, then two coats of thin shellac. Finish by rubbing down with wax. This brings out the grain.
Either a standard or indirect light fixture can be used. The shade should be a simple round one of not too large a dimension.
