Log Cabin Incense Burner.

Detailed Instructions
*********** WARNING***********
Read my page on safety before building this item.

Materials needed:
Any wood will work for this simple - fun project but redwood looks great.
Materials needed:
3 - 36" long 1/4" dowels.
10" long piece of 1" * 5" plank (3/4" finshed).
One clay / ceramic tile 1" x 1".
A lot of pine incense cones - available from Lands End.

Construction:
1. First, dwnload the Adobe Acrobat pdf file by right clicking on the drawing above then print out the full size drawings.
2. Cut the pieces of dowel and glue them together, carefully, with a clear woodworking glue such as Elmer's.
3. For the ends, make a rectangular side then mark the angles and cut the roof slant to shape.
4. Cut out one roof section from the 3/4" stock then resaw it into two 3/8" thick pieces on the band saw.
5. Cut the 17 degree bevels on the top and bottom edges as indicated in the drawing.
6. Glue the supports to the bottom of the roof about 1" from the outer edges.
7. Glue the supports to the bottom of the roof about 1" from the outer edges.
8. Cut out the chimney then glue it to the center of the roof.
9. Drill a 3/8" hole all the way through the center of the chimney and through the roof.
10. Glue the four wall sections together and glue this assembly to the base.
11. You may need to drill a 3/8" hole in your ceramic or clay holder to hold the incense cones.
12. NEVER use this item near flamables and NEVER leave a burning incense unattended.
