Modern SQUARE TABLE

Here is the original article straight from
Book No. 4557, 40 Fine DELTA Tables
A DELTACRAFT PUBLICATION
DELTA MFG. DIVISION

The balls supporting the plate glass top, which is a feature of this design, can be turned from wood or purchased in glass, metal or plastic to suit.
The leg design is quite simple, requiring only a jointer reduction to arrive at the finished shape. Joints between legs and rail should be mortise-tenon, preferably haunched but strong enough in a bridle joint as shown. The legs can he further stiffened by fitting corner blocks. The design can be varied by using round legs; also metal columns can be used to support the glass top. Height given is for a coffee table.
