Trestle Style Dining Table with Benches Vintage Woodworking Plan Set

R14-2355 - Trestle Style Dining Table with Benches Vintage Woodworking Plan Set
Trestle tables originated in Europe during the Middle Ages. Prior to dining, the massive dining surfaces (sometimes 12 feet long) were placed on T-shaped trestles secured by a beam wedged between them. After each meal, the wedges were pounded out and tables disassembled to recover the living area. If you are in need of a large dining table, this design is large enough to comfortably seat eight people and tough enough to stand up to everyday use. The table top is approximately 3 feet wide by 7 feet long. Plans for the matching 6-foot long trestle benches are included. This is a vintage woodworking plan.
