A common way to cover the exposed edges of plywood in a woodworking project is with solid-wood edgebanding. The problem with this technique, however, is that it always requires some fussing around. To streamline things a bit, I began to take a different approach when applying edgebanding.
I use my scroll saw quite a bit, and I go through a lot of blades. So I came up with this convenient way of storing my blades while still keeping them close at hand. Now I do not have to get up every time I need a new blade.

I made this jig to easily find the center on round stock, such as dowels. It is just a triangular frame with a thin plate attached over one half that is used as a marking guide. To find the centerpoint, you simply butt the round workpiece into the 90 degree corner of the frame and mark a line. Then rotate the stock, and draw a second line. The intersection of the lines is the center of the stock.
