Weathervanes are very popular as wall decorations and as free standing decorations when added to a dowel and base. We try to increase the appeal by using weathervanes as racks for hats, pot, holders, keys, dish towels, cups, etc. by adding pegs, cup hooks or L-hooks to the arrow or spaced around the Rooster body.

This is a simple to make toy that is great fun. The blade assembly is placed in the launcher - the end of an 18 inch piece of strong twine is inserted in the blade dowel and the string is wound around the dowel by turning the blades clockwise. Hold the launcher away from you face and give the twine a sharp pull. The helicopter will leave the launcher and fly up, up and away!This is a 1 page pattern. Be sure to print all parts and join together to get the full size pattern. Resize to suit your needs. Beginner skill level using a scroll saw should be able to accomplish this project easily.
