On one of his many discovery trips, Norm finds himself an antique tall cupboard cabinet. Upon inspection it seems the craftsman of the day built the cupboard to fit the door on it. An interesting approach to cabinet making and it shows that nothing was wasted back in the day. Norm builds his own bath cupboard using plywood shelves, shop made molding and he even hangs a mirror on the inside of the door. He uses mortise and tenon joinery as well as biscuits for the construction of the door and case. A good idea and it shows that the cupboard can be used for more than just a bathroom. Maybe as a linen cabinet or sweaters or in the hallway near the door for boots, shoes, gloves and hats too. View the Larger Image Slideshow to see the actual paper plan you are buying.

Just right - is what can describe the size of this project. Or build only the lower half for an attractive and compact storage cabinet suitable for any room in your home. Not so big that it dominates a kitchen or dining room, but big enough to offer ample storage and display space. The lower cabinet alone makes an attractive sideboard. Simple joinery includes rabbet joints for the drawers, and stub tenons and grooves for the doors. To minimize expenses, use low-cost pine found at home centers. As a bonus, we have added a special feature on working with knots. Although a common nuisance, when featured prominently, knots can become a striking focal point in your project.
Handy storage bins for fruits, vegetables or canned goods. Features two pull-down doors and one pull-down drawer.

Inspired by the Jefferson Chair, our design provides a wider stance for added stability and the shorter ironing board allows for the rounded tip of the board to rest securely on the footrest. Ironing measures approximately 36x12 inches. Measurements are with the ironing board in the vertical position. Also known as a Bachelors Chair or a SitOnIt Chair.
