From Chris Swingley, These are plans for a small end table that I used as a bedside table in our guest bedroom. It is got tapered legs and breadboard ends that hide the edge grain on the jointed top. It is a great project, and only takes a few hours of shop time to complete.

And then, adding a few edge treatments to the base and top will make them stand out to complete the change. I finished both assemblies the same as the case. Giving the two-tone night stand a different look is not very hard to do.
