Cut Napkin Base from 1/2 or 3/4 inch thick stock (We used a 3/4 x 5 x 5 inch board for the Hen). Glue the plaques 2 inches apart to hold napkins. The base may be stained or painted and may be routed with a decorative edge. If you wish, glue some excelsior or wood shavings to the joint of base and Hen to look like a nest.
