Our best nativity scroll saw puzzle ever! The sky pieces in the upper corners, when turned upside down, become the buildings which complete the skyline. All puzzle pieces are 3/4 inch thick. Although almost any 3/4 inch wood can be used, we cut a 3/8 x 2 ft x 2 ft piece of Baltic Birch in half and face glued the halves together to make a very flat 3/4 inch thick panel. Puzzle pieces store in the oak framed display box which has a plywood bottom. Puzzle pieces and box bottom can be made from 1-1/2 sheets of 2 x 2 ft plywood. We kept it exceptionally easy to finish by painting only on the top surface of the puzzle pieces. This woodworking plan provides full size illustrations, exploded view diagrams and instructions to make the project as shown. When complete this Nativity Puzzle measures 11-1/2 x 23 inches.
