The rooster, the hen, and the chicks are carved from leftover pieces of 3/4- and 1-1/2-inch-thick hardwood and low-cost landscaping posts. When used with one of our other ideas for Post Farm Figures, this is a fantastic companion project. The height of the rooster is roughly 39 inches. Every pattern piece is drawn full scale.

This woodworking plan includes patterns for mailbox pigs in 3 different sizes. The large pigs fit a large #2 size rural mail box. The medium pig fits #1-1/2 size mailbox. There are also 4 different pigs which fit the small #1 size mail box.
