This toy box is just the right size, and it looks like two jumbo blocks. The box sides and front are made from plywood and the top, bottom and back are made from 3/4 inch thick lumber. The secret to the striking 3-D appearance is the 1/4 inch thick plywood overlays. These overlays are used on the sides and front only (four in total). Make your own selection from several choices to decorate the centre of these overlay panels. These include the letters A, B and C, a teddy bear, a rag doll and Noahs Ark. These patterns are included and drawn full size for easy duplication. Other pieces required for this project are simple squares or rectangles. This woodworking plan provides full size illustrations, exploded view diagrams and instructions to make the projects shown.
