Arbors Woodworking Plans for Projects

This free standing trellis can be placed anywhere in the yard. Move it around with the change of the seasons. The 27 x 40 inch rectangular base holds a 36 inch planter box liner in front and another in back. The lattice rises up from the midway point.

This beautiful archway arbor could be your garden gateway. Make from standard lumber sizes and a 4x8 ft sheet of plywood. It measures approximately 91 inches tall, 84 inches wide and 36 inches deep. We recommend the bottom end of the posts be anchored to the ground.

Build this arbor as a stand alone project or add a porch swing (shown here, plan W2269 sold separately). When built this arbor is just over 8ft tall, 8ft wide and 4ft deep. This woodworking plan provides full size illustrations, exploded view diagrams and instructions to make the projects shown.

We designed this project so it can be built from 1x4 boards, which keeps cutting to a minimum and simplifies the building of the project. The strips for the cross pieces are 1 inch wide. You would use a table saw to rip these pieces.
