Barbie Dollhouse 2 rooms Woodworking Plan

With the success of our 4 room Victorian Barbie Dollhouse, 04-FS-152, we dug through our archives to produce this two room Barbie Doll House. We actually designed this dollhouse back in the 1970s when we were producing fully built scale model wood product for the tole painting industry. This project was a popular seller. We have revived the design and now offer it for sale in this easy to make woodworking plan. We improved on the original design by correcting the scale, updated the style of furnishings and even added more furniture. In the plan are the following details to build; a two room house with a deluxe fireplace with logs and adirons, shutters and planter boxes by the windows and a 13 piece furniture set. A beautiful wall mounted Regulator clock is scaled from full size design. You could even fit a small clock movement on the face. The patterns for the furniture and many of the house designs are drawn full size. We include patterns to make curtain rods to allow you to add curtains to both windows. Picture frames of different sizes could be made to fit photos for added realism. A scaled Queen bed includes decorative headboard, pillow and foot bench. The building has a flat back so it could be mounted on the wall to allow for playroom underneath... or to pass the vacuum. You can make this project from common pine lumber 12 inches wide and some 1/4 inch plywood. Easy to make in a weekend.

Barbie Doll House Close and Carry

What makes this Barbie House unique with its almost entirely made form wood, compact and full of many fun features. Hinges are about the only non-wood item needed to build the Close and Carry Barbie house. Project Features: The built in handle makes it easy to move around. It can be stored in a closet or on a dresser. When closed it measures 24 inches long, 16 inches deep and 18 inches high. It opens into a spacious home then opens further with yard extensions to the left and right. View the Image Slideshow for detailed pictures of the completed project. Full sized drawings printed on 11x17 inch paper. In the left half of the house is an ornamental fold-down bed with pillows. Then a mirrored dresser and stool next to an armoire that opens for Barbies clothes. An ironing board folds down from the inside and a wood iron stores nearby. The right side of Barbies home has a stylish fireplace with double columns and routed wood appointments. A mantle clock and framed photo are over the mantle. A table, two lamps and a Vienna regulator clock accompany a pillow covered sofa. Stylish windows are boarded with shutters and a planter. The fold-out extension on the left features an apple tree, an arbor and gates and garden implements. The extension to the right has a fence, garden bench, potted plants, and a yard light. Barbies pets are nearby. Vine and floral works cover exterior walls with hummingbirds and butterflies. Easy to make. Shingles top both roofs. The open house spans 6 feet. Photographs help visualize various steps, included in the printer plan. This heirloom project will be a major presentation at Christmas or for a birthday for Barbie fanciers. Victorian Barbie Doll House Woodworking Plan

Barbie houses are not very common to begin with, a Victorian style Barbie doll house is RARE. If you build our woodworking project number 04-FS-152, this would be the gift of a lifetime for a young daughter or granddaughter. We have worked about a dozen more photos throughout the plan that may help in sub-assembly building. Paint chart not included, you can decide what paints to use. This amazing project is the ultimate dream home for young and young-at-heart Barbie doll collectors. This woodworking plan will guide the woodworker through all steps of the building process. The rear of the house is open for full access to seven spacious Victorian rooms ready for decorating just as Queen Victoria may have done herself! In the near future we will be developing woodworking plans for doll sized Victorian furniture. The spaces include a parlor, kitchen, bath, bedroom and childrens playroom. The dormer windows add architectural interest inside and out. The first floor turret is enclosed and accessible from the inside. The second floor turret is open with access from the upper porch. Other options which you have a choice in building include grid work around the base and two styles of bay windows. Also included is information for making replica stained glass windows. There is even a plan included for the display table the doll house is set up on. The majority of the pieces are drawn full scale. Basically, those that can fit on the 11 x 17 inch paper stock. The house walls and some of the larger features are scaled down with dimensions and angles shown but all the gingerbread, shingle and molding patterns and other trim are mostly full size images.
