These mini-shapes can be used in country style craft projects. This page will deal mainly with detailing these small shapes. Of course, they may be decoratively painted if you have the skill, but there are other useful techniques too. Try dipping the pieces in stain and then painting a single detail such as a heart or design over the stain. Dip the pieces in a wash (thinned paint that is opaque similar to stain) and paint detail lines or use a permanent ink felt pen or paint pen.
